A couple of months ago I did a long crack repair on a friends car. A few weeks after I did the repair a deer hit her car and broke the windshield everywhere EXCEPT the area where the crack was. Even the police were amazed the glass did not break where it was repaired.

I had a customer run into a saguaro cactus less than 6 hrs after doing a 12" crack. The arm of the cactus busted the windshield right at the place I just repaired. As you said the repair was in tack 100%. I called GT and asked them "do you know how Strong you CR reason is?" and they said " Yes we do, we ran a stress test in our shop" I ask " did you ever run a saguaro test?" They laughed at that point.

They wanted that corner of the windshield because they were going to a glass show and wanted to use it as a showing on how strong it was... We cut it out and shiped it off the GT, I do not know if anything was done with it or not....

This is when they first came out with the CR resin... I have been hooked ever sence..

This is way before Adam and Rory's time...

Nice Don.
Funny that they didn't inform you on what has happened with the ws.
Would have been nice to know eh?

Adam: could you please tell us what has happened with that particular ws?
Has it ever been used? What were the responses at that show? Did it do any good to the sales?

Sorry for the late response, I didn't see the replies until today... holiday hours and filming new videos...

I will check with Kerry when he returns from holiday. I would love to know what happened to that section of glass as well-as this is the first I've heard of it!

I hope you both have excellent holidays Frank and Don :)

LOL at saguaro test!
